Erin has over a decade of experience working in primary care. After working with several different models, including the traditional, insurance-based fee-for-service model, Erin found that by removing the barriers of the insurance company, she can establish lasting, meaningful relationships with her patients.
After studying neuroscience at Furman University in Greenville, SC, I went on to Duke University for both my bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing. Medicine is an ever-growing field and I love continued education to expand my knowledge base. Currently I am working on certifications in both obesity medicine and functional medicine.
I have over 15 years of experience in the medical field. For the last decade I have provided primary care to a variety of populations. I have been a provider in the typical fee-for-service insurance model of healthcare. I felt limited by what the insurance companies were willing to cover. It restricted my ability to provide the quality care that I value. Most recently, I provided primary care in an employer setting where I could take the time to develop meaningful relationships with my patients. This is what drove me to create Compass Health.
